The City of Houston’s Public Works and Engineering Department is seeking a Senior Fixed Asset Specialist to join their team! Sr. Fixed Asset Specialist’s Responsibilities
  • Manage IT-Computer equipment inventory
  • Coordinate fixed asset functions of one or many departments
  • Oversee and ensure perpetual inventory records are accurate
  • Affix inventory tags to designated assets, and equipment, and replace damaged tags
  • Coordinate, participate, and oversee scheduled and periodic physical inventories by locating and counting assets, loading field inventory results, and reconciling exceptions
 
Sr. Fixed Asset Specialist’s Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Materials Management, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field required
  • 1 year of experience in inventory control or materials management required
  • 4 years of experience in inventory control/materials management may be substituted for the degree requirement
  • Must be able to lift 40 lbs. worth of materials and books
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and criminal background check
