Offshore Wind Research & Development Engineer (R&D Eng)

Job Description
- Develop physics-based models from engineering principles for the placement of rock on the seabed around offshore wind structures and trenches. Model will include fallpipe, dispersion and Subsea Interaction. Utilizing Masters students &educational institutions in order to assist with the development of the models
- Work with a multi-discipline team to develop and build a production estimating methodology based on the engineering models and vessel operations
- Work to build a production estimating software for the offshore vessel to assist in operational challenges, production estimating, and project procurement
- Assist in the developing production reporting formats, production standards and protocols supporting implementation with documentation and manuals
- Masters of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Coast/Ocean Engineering or Marine Engineering
- 3+ years of current experience in a similar role, internship or thesis
- Experience in design/analysis and engineering of complex marine or mechanical systems
- Experience in European Offshore Wind Engineering is a definite plus
- Must have current authorization to be employed in the US without employer sponsorship
- Must have received COVID vaccine or provide eligibility for exemption upon starting employment
