Medical Insurance Eligibility Specialist

Job Description
- Place outbound calls to customers who have applied for insurance to verify their health history information
- Utilize your knowledge of common medical conditions and medication in consulting with customers applying for our products.
- Review, qualify, and document all incoming applications for the program into the system.
- Collaborate with agents regarding applications as it pertains to the underwriting process.
- High School Diploma or GED is required
- A minimum of 1-2 years of call center experience with medical terminology knowledge is required
- Previous medical underwriting, health, or life insurance experience is a plus but not required
- Bilingual Spanish & English skills are a strong plus
- Strong interpersonal & office skills to effectively communicate with all internal and external customers
- Well respected and Texas-based insurance company known for their quality of service to their clients.
- Conveniently located in northwest Houston just off 290 with easy access to on and off the freeway. Close to area shopping and restaurants
- The professional work environment also offers casual days on Fridays
- Potential to be hired full-time with the client after an evaluation period
