Grinder

Job Description
- Grind Welds using grinder wheel/belt sander
- Smooth grinds using buffer wheel
- Change sand belt and use air grinder to grind large boxes
- Use reciprocal sander to remove scratches from boxes and Chante grinder disc
- Provide quality control by inspecting workpieces as they come out of the equipment and removing any defective pieces
- Operate machinery including polishing and grinding equipment, to grind any metal workpieces to their prescribed specifications to ensure high-quality products
- Finish products by hand using a tool to ensure the surfaces are filed or finished accordingly
- Keep all equipment running by inspecting and performing basic maintenance, including lubrication and cleaning, and scheduling repairs when needed
- Perform basic repairs, including replacing parts when they are worn down or broken, within the scope of expected knowledge and expertise
- Assist all supervisors and perform other duties as needed and directed
- Must frequently stand, sit, and bend
- Poses and able to use inspections equipment to ensure the quality of the parts being produced. Must be equipped with all required tools to perform the functions of their job
- Must frequently stand, blend, and lift up to 12 lbs. and occasionally lift 20lbs.
- Sufficient reading and writing ability to follow work order instructions and prepare simple production reports
- Sufficient visual acuity (corrected) to read instructions, operate machine, and inspect parts
- Sufficient manual dexterity to operate the equipment properly
- Must be able to stand 8-to-10-hour days
