Data Privacy and Security Specialist

Job Description
- Define and implement data compliance metrics, reports, and dashboards
- Consult and provide data access recommendations to management regarding assessments of the current state of data governance
- Collaborate with the internal business departments to implement practices to meet defined policies and standards for information security
- Develop, maintain, and publish up-to-date information security policies, standards, and guidelines
- Identify data sources and develop a plan for data management that is aligned with organizational data strategy
- Participate in establishing the data governance framework to create the collection of rules, processes, and role delegations that ensure privacy and compliance
- High School Diploma or GED is required, Bachelor’s degree is preferred
- A minimum of 3 years of working in data governance for data privacy, security, and quality is required
- A minimum of 3 years of experience gathering business requirements, such as data quality, privacy, and security, is required
- One (1) year of experience working on teams using agile project management methodologies i.e., Scrum required
- One (1) year of experience with analytical programming languages and tools, including R, SQL, Python, and PowerBI, is required
- Data Security Certificates for HIPPA, CITI, and DSHS Data Security and Confidentiality are needed to be obtained within the first month of employment
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and criminal background check
- Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm
