A well-established community organization near the Medical Center is in need of a Crisis Specialist. This person will carry the crisis hotline rotation with the intent of de-escalating the situation. Contacts and dispatches the appropriate advocate for surviving youth. Ensures youth enrollment in the client database and documents contacts between initial call and the handoff to the Multi-Disciplinary Team Coordinator. Creates a handoff plan to the MDT Coordinator for ongoing case coordination and treatment planning. Perform any additional tasks and a wide variety of administrative and clerical duties of a general or specialized nature relative to the assigned area of responsibility. Must have a Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Psychology, Counseling, Criminal Justiice, Social Work or a related field. One year verifiable experience participating in multi-disciplinary team meetings with at risk youth in either a juvenile justice, mental health or child welfare setting. Will successfully complete the Child and Adolescent Needs and Strengths (CANS) training assessments within six months of employment and maintain yearly certifications thereafter. Mon - Fri 7 - 3PM. Possible temp-to-hire opportunity.
