Code Compliance Coordinator
Sugar Land, TX 77478 US
Job Description
- Coordinate and provide oversite of the Residential Rental Property License Program.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with property owners, as well as internal city clients.
- Assist with designing and implementing programs directed toward community improvement.
- Act as a liaison for the rental and code enforcement inspectors
- Deliver excellent customer service to the citizens while maintaining the organization’s positive perception
- An Associate’s degree is required.
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in inspecting and enforcing codes and ordinances associated with nuisance violations, unsafe building conditions, property standards, or violations of fire, health, or building regulations, statutes, or ordinances is required.
- Municipal experience is highly preferred.
- A Valid Texas Class “C” Driver’s License is required.
- State of Texas Code Enforcement Office Certification or the ability to obtain one within the first six months of the date of hire is highly preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are required.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drugs screen and criminal background check
