Job Description
A Bilingual Intake Clerk is needed for a public sector organization located in North Houston. This role will provide clear and concise directions to clients who contact the office either by telephone or in-person.
Responsibilities

Assign referrals to case managers

Receive visitors and/or guests to the office
-
Assembles any written information given by the clients for use by the Eligibility Specialists
-
Provides information and referrals to clients
-
Enters information regarding client information into the computer
-
Handles telephone calls
-
Contacts utility companies as to the status of the bills presented by clients seeking assistance
-
Compiling statistics utilizing basic computer skills
-
Light typing
Qualifications
To be considered for the Bilingual Intake Clerk position, you will need the following:

2+ years’ customer service experience
-
High School Diploma or G.E, D. is required
-
Bilingual in English/Spanish
-
Ability to type 35 words per minute
-
Ability to handle multiple job duties
-
Must possess basic computer skills and have familiarity with filing systems

Pleasant telephone voice and good communication skills; both verbal and written
