A leading construction company is seeking an SEC Reporting Manager on a direct hire basis. This position will manage the preparation of SEC filings, including, but not limited to, the 10-Qs and 10-K, 8-K, Form 4, as well as coordinate Proxy Statement and miscellaneous filings with legal. Additional responsibilities include:

Prepare quarterly earnings release, as well as US GAAP and SEC disclosure checklists.
Prepare Quarterly and Annual Reports on Form 10-Q/K and manage the internal and external review for these documents.
Monitor and ensure timely identification and compliance with evolving accounting guidance, provide US GAAP interpretation and prepare technical memorandums that document issues in a clear, logical and comprehensive manner.
Manage communications with external auditors on external financial statements and accounting issues.
Coordinate annual audit and quarterly review activities of internal and external auditors, including SOX testing.
Prepare the ASC 718/FAS 123R calculations and ensure compliance with accounting guidance.
Manage and administer all stock compensation plans and accounting.
Prepare EPS calculations.
Support M&A activity including due diligence and preparation of purchase accounting.
Implement and maintain reporting procedures to comply with internal control requirements.

This position will also be a member of the Company's Disclosure Committee.

DIRECT HIRE POSITION

REQUIREMENTS:
The successful candidate must have an excellent knowledge of US GAAP and SEC rules and regulations, as well as combined the ability to research and propose company positions on complex accounting issues.

Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting
CPA certification required
Must have 6+ years' experience with a Big 4 accounting firm, with heavy exposure to SEC and financial reporting
Industry experience in construction is preferred, but not required
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office programs
Prior experience with Workiva (formerly Webfilings) preferred, but not required
